Why is it important that I choose the translator?

It is essential for you, as a customer, to have consistent quality in your translations. Each translator may have a different skillset and display knowledge for a variety of services, so if you get a different translator for the same type of translations, you may get differences between the character of the projects. It is important to work with the same person who has the right domain knowledge for the type of translation you require. Also, the process is more efficient without third-party involvement.

What happens if the translator doesn’t deliver?

We have a strict rule for our translators to inform clients of any problems that may interfere with the project ahead of time. So in case of a problem, the translator will reach out to you and inform you of the issue. In that case, the translator can send a request to delay the project. But in case of an unexpected problem, we reach out to the next available translator for you and help finish your project. So no matter what happens, you can trust us to deliver.

Why do I have to pay before the project is complete?

We charge you the cost of the project when you schedule it and choose a translator to make sure that there are no problems with the payment in the future. With Cuz, you can schedule a project from months ahead. If you encounter any issues with our services, we will refund the money to your card, and it will be processed in 5 to 7 days, depending on your financial institution.

What happens if the translator does not respond to my project request?

Once you send a project request, the translator will have 15 minutes to accept. If they do not get back to you in time, we will notify you as soon as possible so that you can pick a new translator for your project.

What happens if the instant word count is incorrect, or the translated word count is higher/lower than the initial count?

What is proofreading, and when should I turn it on/off?

What is the difference between certified translation, translation submitted with an affidavit, notarized translation, or a declaration?

A certified translation can only be produced by a certified translator (reserved title for individuals who have qualified and registered with the provincial association of translators in their province, such as ATIO).

An affidavit is a document where the translator swears in the presence of a lawyer, or other legal authority with the power to administer oaths, that the translation is an accurate representation of the contents of the original document.

A notarized translation is produced when the notary public provides his/her seal on the affidavit of translation.

A declaration of translation is a signed document affirming the accuracy of the translation.

How long will it take for my documents to be translated?

What is the difference between translation and interpretation?

The difference between translation and interpretation is in the medium of how the process takes place. Translating is the process of communicating the meaning of a source language to a different target language through text, whereas interpretation is the same process but is carried out verbally.
